Fifteen years in cyber security

Pete Saar is a military veteran. He served over ten years in the U.S. Coast Guard and federal service, and has worked fifteen years in cyber security. He audited election tabulators and voter-assist terminals for the DuPage County Election Commission. He audited Coast Guard network and security configurations against Department of Defense standards. He performed intrusion analysis for the federal judiciary’s cyber threat intelligence unit and authored reports tracking the activity of advanced persistent threats. He led advanced-threat hunts across more than thirty cases involving nation-state adversaries. He coordinated incident response for IBM’s managed-infrastructure clients. At another Fortune-500 company, he has run major cyber incidents end to end, as the incident commander across vendors and business units.
